Leura Gardens Festival
October 5 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
October 5, 6, 7 & 11, 12, 13 – 9.30am to 4.30pm. This year’s Leura Garden Festival (the 55th) will be held for six days over two long weekends. There will be beautiful new gardens for visitors to enjoy as well as a good selection of old favourites, all maintaining the high standards of past Festivals. The Upper Blue Mountains in spring is a feast of new growth, masses of flowers, gorgeous bulbs and an amazing variety of cold climate plants including wonderful deciduous trees which will just be coming into their full glory. The Festival engages the local community and celebrates cold climate gardens and gardening. Festival hotline: 0431 095 279 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org or www.leuragardensfestival.com.au
Pre-Festival Tours offer a fully escorted tour of four special cold climate gardens. Your group of 10+ will be met by a guide, taken to and through the gardens. You provide your own transport, whether car or bus and can enjoy the gardens exclusively with your booked group. Generally two gardens are visited in the morning (10am and 11am) followed by a lunch break from 12 noon to 2pm (arranged by the group) and two gardens in the afternoon (2pm and 3pm). Proceeds of both the Pre-Festival tours and the main Festival go to the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital as well as assisting other local health-related organisations. 2019 dates: Monday 30 September to Friday 4 October. Cost $30 pp. Bookings essential and payment in full by 6 September.
